Hm. I've finished 8 templates at 5 new talents each, plus inherent abilities for each. I have a couple more in the hopper to do. Then, I'm going to do a Grimore; a cool way to organize a "book" or school of spells that expand the talents available to magic users--if they can get access.
In order to expand further, I'm contemplating developing some mounted rules, dealing with horses and (since this game is built on awesome) other riding beasts, including airborne mounts. Then I could add a few more templates based on training and horsemanship.
A question has come up: should the new 40 talents I've developed (and the ones on the way) be compiled somehow? What's the best format? Maybe alphabetical, with a note of which template they came from? I'm not sure if that would be helpful or not. What is the relationship of inherent talents to a compilation like that?
(I make inherent talents something it takes a lifetime to figure out, where talents are something you could learn in a much shorter time.)
I think alphabetical with a table of contents at the front would work. I don't see another way to categorize them otherwise, possibly by 'strength' but that is very subjective.
Yeah, so I feel like I'm choking up the forum here. I'm not going to post any more updates, but if you want to go look at my blog, chances are stuff will continue to happen there.
